Perfect for a single (or mixed) stereo source

I have a living room setup with two Sony SS-F7000 floor-standing speakers. This amp powers them very nicely for my purposes. To me it sounds perfect - strong bass (main concern before buying) and with bass/treble controls that I leave set in the middle. In this fairly small room, I use it up to about 1/2 volume (at which point it is way too loud).

I don't want the complexity of a Stereo receiver with source selector, and so I combined this amp with a simple mixer: American Recorder PMIX-100 3-Source Personal Audio Mixer

This way I can have all my sources always on, it's just a matter of starting/stopping them.

I am going to replicate this setup for all my rooms, potentially with a smaller speaker like SS-B3000 which I already have a pair of (also sound ok with this amp). The single sound source in the other rooms will be an Apple Airport Express, for sound distribution. So far I'm really pleased with the sound setup - simple, cheap, and music to my ears.
Subwoofer Amp - Easy and Simple

I bought this amp as a sub-woofer amp and it does the job! My new Pioneer 919 blahbitty blah receiver has a PRE OUT SUBWOOFER (RCA style) output, and I happened to have a new-in-the-box 12" woofer from Radio Shack that I picked up years ago on clearance for 10 bucks. Add in a $40 sheet of plywood and my build time, and I've got a low cost, high quality sub-woofer.
The Pioneer receiver does just about everything except run out and start my car (and I'm wondering if it'll do that!), so it's too dad-gum complicated. In contrast, this amp could hardly be simpler. It has two RCA style inputs (Left and Right), two speaker-wire outputs (Left and Right), Treble gain, Bass gain, Volume, and an On/Off switch.
I saw on other reviews that people used the amp to power an old pair of speakers while playing their iPods. I felt that if the sub-woofer thing didn't work out, I could still do that as Plan 'B'. Fortunately, Plan 'A' is working. I have a nice Belkin 25 foot cable with RCA ends coming from the Pre Out Subwoofer out of the receiver and going into one of the channel inputs (Left) on this amp. Then I have a monster cable, bare-end wires coming out of the corresponding (Left) channel output going directly to the Radio Shack 12" woofer. No crossover or filtering! I'm not sure, but I'm guessing the receiver filters out the high freqs and passes only the lower freqs, 800 hz and below.
Anyway, it sounds good, does what I want it to do, and even has nice blue LED indicators that light up when the bass pounds out the beat of a song, or explosions from a game. It's about the size of a thick paperback book, and if I needed too, I could easily unplug everything and take the amp out to my garage for duty playing my iPod.
Good item.

It's a good amp-- the wattage is a little low, but hey, it's a mini-amp, as advertised. Great seller, quick shipping.
Perfect for what I needed !!!

I was looking for a simplified receiver with just an audio input to hook up my iPod and shelf Klipsch speakers. It wasn't until I stumbled upon an amplifier before my search was successful. This perfect compact sized electronic packs a powerful punch and perfect for what I was looking for!
nice, small, works well

just what I wanted.. small, compact, good power, cheap price.. as others have said, the lights are very bright, but nothing a piece of tape wont fix. Rat shack wants 89 bucks for this unit, and thats before shipping, I'm glad I shopped around.
Great for dedicating to a pair of speakers

I should start by stating that I have a decent home theater setup in my media room. I was looking to set up some nice outdoor speakers, and my main receiver is very far from where the outdoor speakers would be. Rather than deal with the complications of really long runs (or wireless, of which I'm not a fan), I figured I'd set up a dedicated receiver, and this worked perfectly. It has only one set of inputs, so keep that in mind when mapping out what you are looking for. For my purposes, I only needed one.

I have an AirPort Express with AirTunes connected to this receiver using a basic 3.5mm to RCA jack, and this unit powers my Klipsch outdoor speakers very well. It gives me very good sound reproduction, and as far as power goes, it's way more than I need to upset the neighborhood, so I'm satisfied.

If you need balance adjustment, there is a step up from this. I think this little receiver is a great deal for a secondary unit.
impressive for the price.

small, plenty of power for the matching Pyle 3" drivers, produces clean sound from an iPod. My only complaint is that the power level LEDs all flash when the unit is powered off - a little annoying if I've listened to music right before going to sleep, and am all relaxed and ready to nod off.

Needed an amp to power some bookshelf speakers in multiple rooms. This little unit is perfect. Have it connected to a Radio Shack 4-way speaker selector switch. Sound is outstanding. Does exactly what I need it to do. Shipping was really quick.
Nice

Compact, easy to use, well designed. My ONLY gripe... the stupid blue LEDs for the sound levels are bright and cannot be turned off... but that's where a little piece of electrical tape comes in handy. I bought one, received it, then bought two more. I would highly suggest this for people looking for a simple amp.
Nice Littel Powerhead

I bought this amp to use at work. We've got 2 large speakers attached to it, and they sound awesome! This amp pupms out better power thatn the stereo reciever we had previously been using. It is compact and hooks up in seconds. One very minor drawback though; the unit has flashing LEDs in the front panel. They look cool but are extremely bright, dont look at them from up close.
Just what I wanted.

Perfect for what I needed: input from TV, output to medium sized speakers. Good bass and all the power I need.
The flashing blue LEDs are a bother, useless and distracting if they are in your line of sight. I fitted a piece
of black cardboard over the lights, I don't need a light-show going on when I am trying to watch TV.
Great little device at a great price

After fighting with Yamaha Electronics to honor the warranty on their HTR-6130, which broke down in less than one year, I finally gave up and went looking for something that wasn't all "gussied up" with bells and whistles. When I found these Pyle amps on Amazon, and read the reviews, I ended up buying three (2@PCA2Mini2X40 and 1@PCA3Mini2X75).

So far, they work great. They are small enough to take to my workshop, plug in my laptop, and listen to online radio using WiFi, or listen to my music collection or audiobooks while I work.

How long will they last? I've only had them for a few months so I can't say. Are they made in China? I'm afraid to look.

Review update:July 2010. Well, they ARE made in China, and this one pooped out after a few months. It costs about as much to have it fixed as to buy a new one, which I don't plan to do. Too bad.
Great little integrated amp

I needed a simple stereo integrated amp to replace one in my home organ / synthesizer I was repairing. The Pyle PCA3 worked out perfectly. It is well built and provides ample clean power to a musical instrument that produces a wide range of tones from the lows of a church organ to the highs of bells. Since I was also replacing the instruments built in speakers I retrofit some high quality, efficient car audio speakers with a sensitivity of 92dbs into 4 ohms. For those who don't know, a higher speaker sensitiviy rating of just a few decibels can double the power of an amplifier. This combination provides me with more power than the amplifier it replaced with excellent sound quality. Additionally, the PCA3s compact size made it a perfect fit for the top of the instrument.
dead simple and useful

This is a great no frills amp. I am using it to replace an old amp that had gone out. It is connected to my HTPC and 2 floor speakers. I was worried if this would be powerful enough because my speakers have a 12 inch each plus tweeters, but it is more than loud enough and sounds better than my old amp (and is only 1/8 the size). If you don't need multiple inputs or any other frills, you can't beat this price.
